Expert Low Back Pain Physical Therapy in Hilton Head Island, SC
You refuse to slow down — but your back has other ideas. At Priority Preventative Medicine, we deliver one-on-one, cash-based physical therapy built around your goals, your body, and your timeline. Real relief. Root-cause results. No rushing, no handoffs, no excuses.

Still in Pain After Trying Everything?
Low back pain doesn't have to be a life sentence — but the wrong approach can keep you stuck, frustrated, and on the sidelines longer than you should be.
Rushed, Cookie-Cutter Care
Symptoms Treated, Causes Ignored
Losing Ground on the Things You Love
Insurance-driven clinics squeeze you into 20-minute slots, cycle you through aides, and hand you a generic exercise sheet. Your low back pain is unique — your care should be too.
Temporary relief that doesn't last is a sign the root cause was never addressed. Without a full-body movement analysis, the same pain pattern comes back — often worse.
Every missed round of golf, skipped pickleball match, or morning you wake up stiff is time you don't get back. Waiting and hoping rarely works — a real plan does.
Hilton Head's Home for Low Back Pain Physical Therapy
Priority Preventative Medicine is a cash-based, one-on-one clinic led by a Doctor of Physical Therapy and a Certified Injury Prevention Specialist. We don't manage your pain — we eliminate its source. Every session is a full hour, every visit is with the same two providers, and every treatment plan starts with our proprietary A.C.T.I.V.E. Evaluation: a comprehensive whole-body assessment that uncovers the movement compensations driving your back pain.

• True one-on-one sessions — no aides, no handoffs, same providers every visit
• Full 60-minute unrushed appointments with transparent, cash-based pricing
• Advanced manual therapy toolkit: dry needling, mechanical traction, cupping, Graston, and myofascial release all under one roof

Your Path From Back Pain to Peak Performance
Step 1: Assess
Step 2: Rebuild
Step 3: Perform
We begin with our A.C.T.I.V.E. Evaluation — a comprehensive full-body movement analysis that identifies the root causes of your low back pain, including joint restrictions, strength deficits, and compensatory patterns throughout the kinetic chain.
Dr. Alyssa Muskaj leads your hands-on rehabilitation phase, combining advanced manual therapy, dry needling, mechanical traction, and targeted therapeutic exercise to restore mobility, reduce pain, and rebuild structural resilience.
Besmir Muskaj drives your performance strategy — correcting movement mechanics, building durable strength, and designing a long-term plan so you stay strong, competitive, and independent for decades to come.
Low Back Pain Physical Therapy for Every Body
Whether you're dealing with a nagging disc issue, sciatica shooting down your leg, or chronic stiffness that's stealing your mornings, our Hilton Head Island clinic is equipped to treat the full spectrum of spinal and musculoskeletal conditions. If you've searched for low back pain physical therapy near me, you've found the right team — one that digs deeper and lasts longer than a quick fix.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept insurance?

We are a cash-based, self-pay practice — and intentionally so. By operating outside of insurance, we eliminate the volume restrictions and rushed visit structures that insurance-driven clinics are forced into. You get a full hour of one-on-one care with the same two providers at every visit, and a treatment plan built entirely around what your body needs — not what your insurance will cover. We provide superbills upon request for patients who wish to seek out-of-network reimbursement from their insurer.

What happens at my first appointment?

Your first visit begins with our A.C.T.I.V.E. Evaluation — a comprehensive full-body movement assessment that examines your joint mobility, strength, compensation patterns, tissue integrity, and lifestyle factors including nutrition and sleep. This 75–90-minute evaluation gives us a complete picture of what's driving your low back pain or other condition, and forms the foundation of your personalized Assess → Rebuild → Perform treatment plan. New patients are also welcome to start with a free 15-minute discovery call before booking.

How is Priority Preventative Medicine different from a regular PT clinic?

Most physical therapy clinics in the area operate under an insurance-based, high-volume model — which often means 20-minute appointments, rotating aides, and a generic program that changes every visit. At Priority Preventative Medicine, you receive a full 60-minute session with Dr. Alyssa Muskaj and Besmir Muskaj — the same two providers, every single time. We combine advanced manual therapy, dry needling, mechanical traction, corrective exercise, and long-term performance planning into a single, cohesive care model designed to eliminate root causes, not just manage symptoms.
